“In Israel, in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles.” – Ben Gurion

Israel is widely known as an innovative start-up power house in the challenging environment of the Middle East. Eight years after the book “Start-up Nation” provided the world with insights into the resilience of the Israel’s business sector we would like to discuss and review what made Israel so outstanding in the past and then attempt an outlook at its prospects for achieving a sustainable growth in the future.
Which factors lead to Israel’s success in the field of start-ups? How will growing cost of living and work force affect Israel’s ability to attract venture capital, create jobs, and produce stunning technology?
In this regard, we also want to learn more about the possibilities of German-Israeli cooperation in the field of start-ups, venture capital, and about key differences and similarities in business culture as well as the right way to establish a mutually beneficial business relationship.
The Club International Leipzig, the Deutsch-Israelische Gesellschaft Leipzig and KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft are looking forward to discussing these topics with Israeli business experts and serial entrepreneurs.
